Online Hadoop Admin and developer training - starting from June 20th

• Training mode: Online self paced + online live (3 to 4 hours live every week to explain important concepts)

• Duration: 1 to 3 months based on the learning ability of the student
• Course fee: 100$ to 300$, free for students who are still pursuing MS or engineering
• Pre-requisites: 16 GB RAM, i7 quad core or spend money on AWS

Agenda for Hadoop Developer:

• HDFS and Map Reduce* Data ingestion using Sqoop and Flume
• Developing Spark based applications using Scala and Python
• Data transformation using Hive/Pig
• Getting started with HBase
• Visualization using Tableau including Data Modeling techniques

Agenda for Hadoop Administrator:

• Capacity Planning
• Create virtual machines on laptop or ec2 instances on AWS (at student cost)* Setup pre-requisites
• Install Ambari or Cloudera Manager
• Setup Hadoop core components such as HDFS and YARN
• Setup Hadoop eco system such as Hive, Pig, Sqoop, HBase, Spark etc
• Hadoop security using Kerberos

At the end of the course one will learn skills either to develop scalable applications using Hadoop eco system or build Hadoop cluster using distributions such as Cloudera/Hortonworks. Also one will be trained from the perspective of leading certifications.
