Annoucing CannaDataCon!

The #cannabisindustry suffers from blind spots, Delta Emerald Ventures included.

Do you want to be part of the problem, or part of the solution?

JOIN US at CannaDataCon and participate in the first-ever summit specifically tailored to tackle the industry's biggest data problems through collaboration, cross-pollination, and knowledge-sharing.

What's with the title? There's an?ancient Indian parable?about a group of blind men who encounter an elephant for their first time and it's one of the greatest stories ever written.

Instead of butchering such a simple story by trying to repeat it, check out John Godfrey Saxe’s?translation from 1872. For the YouTube-inclined, watch?this four-minute animation.

The moral of the story is that?each person’s “truth” can be different because?we are a product of the information that’s available to us.

Can you see where I am going with this?

Cannabis is a big ol’ elephant, and there are a lot of blind folks out there touching one part, thinking they’ve grasped the whole picture.

It’s hard enough to jump through the regulatory hurdles, to overcome the capital scarcity, to make it through the gauntlet?in launching a grow, dispensary, brand, or a service in this industry. But to do?all that?with imperfect information, and under the?false?assumption that this is a “winner-take-all” market is both lonely and damn-near impossible.?

We think there's a better way.

We are?tired?of conferences full of bluster and chest-thumping.

We?reject?the overly-negative sentiment and navel-gazing that have plagued some of our peers, partners, and compatriots.

We see opportunity for strength in community.

We are bullish as ever on this industry and expect the coming years to be marked by collaboration and integration. We do not mean to minimize the pain that many are feeling today and see this current phase as a necessary step toward maturation.

We leave you with a quote from John Lennon:

A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality.

A version of this was first published on the Delta Dispatch. If you're interested in learning more, please drop me a note.
