ANNECY SHOULDER LIVE SURGERY
Dear friends,
The 8th opus of Annecy Live Surgery is coming very fast.
As the previous editions, we will manage live surgeries, live examination, live 3D animations and discussions mostly about Instability, Arthroplasty and Rotator cuff. Every edition has been innovative and more and more complex years after years.
But this year will be the most advanced and complex edition: we will treat 36 cases including many very difficult and complex cases:
· Tendon Transfer :
o 3 Cases for Irreparable Super Large Rotator Cuff Tear with Latissimus Dorsi transfer, Lower Trapezius transfer,
o 3 Cases for Scapulo-Thoracic instability or plasy: (Pectoralis Major transfer, Triple transfer, scapulopexy)
o 2 cases for Deltoid palsy (Pectoralis Major transfer)
· 1 scapula malunion, 2 arthroscopic plexus release,
· 2 hyper complex cases of Arthroplasty: Humeral malunion, HSA revision by RSA.
Despite these cases, we will keep on demonstrating most of the current options for instability (Ant & Post Bankart, Anterior Dynamic Stabilisation, Open & Arthroscopic Latarjet) for RCR (Anterior, Superior, Posterior, Large and Super Large tears), for Arthroplasties (Anatomic & Reverse).
I do want to thank the scientific committee, the wonderful Faculty who is going to perform these surgeries, to thank our industrial partners who are supporting this meeting and to give a special thank to Bassem El Hassan who is recruiting 3 complex cases and to my son Thibault Lafosse who is bringing a lot of patients and contributing together with me on the organization and management of the meeting. Thank you to the tremendous work of preparation done by my 5 fellows, by the staff of the Clinique Generale and to the permanent support of the VIVALTO group who is holding our clinic. But at last and not least, thank you to all the registered participants who are coming from so many countries (today 60) to assist to this meeting.
Be all welcome to Annecy for the 8th opus of the Woodstock of the Shoulder Surgery!
Friendly yours
Laurent Lafosse
