In this week's newsletter, I am shining the spotlight on FEAR, and how it stands in the way of our leadership, careers, and businesses.?The opposite side of fear is growth and innovation to bring a dream or vision to reality.??

I had a client last week who realised fear had been the decision maker in his career and leadership for the last number of years.?With increased responsibility came increased fear which was impacting his confidence and decision-making, putting his career and the business at risk.

Fear has a way of stopping us on our path, and can present us with:

·???????Overwhelm

·???????Resistance

·???????Lacking confidence

·???????Decreased decision-making ability

…..which results in a FREEZE state, and resistance to growth and opportunity.?

Fear is an emotion that presents to keep us safe when we feel a threat, which we may or may not be conscious of at the time.?However, we need to know when this fear is standing in the way of our growth.

?My client could see the path he had taken in his career and leadership had been guided by fear.

While he is successful to get to where he is today, he has taken the longer path and the harder route, and still today his actions and decisions are made all the more difficult by the patterns he has developed in his mind, based on fear.?

????????? ???????? ???????????? ?????? ???????? ???? ????????????????, ?????? ?????????? ???????? – ???? ????????, ???? ????????????!

So we got to work at unravelling this pattern and creating an easier path to the next level of growth.

Growth is inevitable but many resist in fear of the unknown, they get stuck in resistance, fighting growth and submitting to fear.

While many are aware that they are stuck in indecision and uncomfortable with the present, many are not aware of why?!

Fear has many symptoms, and one is dismissing the fact that nothing stays the same, and growth is the only option to success and happiness. The alternative is getting stuck in resistance, fighting growth and submitting to fear.

Are you risk-averse when it comes to unfolding the next stage of your career and leadership?

Sometimes you have to take a risk….. and have faith that the answers are at the other side of each decision.

You’ve got to roll with the uncertainty and get comfortable with the unknown….. this is the only way to find yourself at the next level of you, what you previously did not know.

Take some time to paint the picture of what’s next for you in your growth as a professional, so that you can ‘dream the painting then paint the dream’.?
