The Annapolis Boat Show, spanning four days in October, gathered sailing enthusiasts from both the west and east coasts of the USA. With ten other sailmakers in attendance, the event proved to be highly competitive. Our team, however, rose to the challenge, working diligently to connect with customers and present the exceptional Ullman Sails products.

Strategic Approach to Customer Engagement

Our primary objective at the show was to engage customers in meaningful conversations and provide insights into the Ullman Sails Products. Rather than providing quotes indiscriminately, we took a targeted approach, quoting only to those who indicated a genuine interest in making a purchase during the show. This strategy not only ensured efficiency but also allowed us to focus on quality leads.

Impressive Results

The hard work paid off, and we're delighted to share that we sold multiple sails. Post-show, the momentum continued, and we've more than doubled the orders since.

Catamaran Connections

Annapolis proved to be an excellent platform to connect with catamaran customers, with notable boat manufacturers like Balance and Leopard featuring their vessels. Attending after-hours parties hosted by these manufacturers allowed us to further establish connections and engage with potential customers and sales staff

Networking Beyond the Booth

Our team didn't limit their interactions to the show floor. Attending gatherings hosted by key players in the industry, such as Balance, Leopard, and Beneteau, provided valuable opportunities to forge relationships and uncover leads. These after-hours events, filled with lively conversations, enabled us to connect not only with customers but also with sales professionals in the industry.
