Dive with Simona Cochi into the extraordinary world of Anna Piaggi, the legendary fashion journalist and visionary, through the exhibition Anna Piaggi: Words and Taffeta, presented by MinervaHub at Milano Unica 2025 (Hall 15, Rho Fiera Milano). This immersive exhibition, curated by Daniela Fedi, celebrates Piaggi’s unparalleled influence on fashion, language, and cultural aesthetics.
Anna Piaggi, famous for her distinctive "Doppie Pagine" (DP Double Pages) in Vogue Italia, transformed fashion journalism into an art form. The exhibit showcases over 150 garments collected by Jacopo Tonelli for JATO 1991, a company within MinervaHub Group, along with rare pieces from the Anna Piaggi Cultural Association, founded by her nephew Stefano Piaggi, with contributions from Mirko Tomei, Piaggi’s close collaborator.
A key highlight of the exhibit is its storytelling approach—each ensemble is curated to reflect the very essence of Piaggi’s creative philosophy, where the sound of words intertwines with the rustle of taffeta. This unique perspective allows visitors to experience the depth of her vision, where fashion becomes poetry and personal expression becomes an artful statement.
MinervaHub, a leading Italian industrial group specializing in cutting-edge materials, finishes, and processes for high-end fashion accessories, orchestrates this tribute. Since Milano Unica awarded Piaggi its only lifetime achievement award in 2009, this exhibition stands as a testament to her lasting legacy.
