In 1974 I took my first big boy job at 3M Company?, Rochester, New York.? I can name the names of key employees to this day.? I have the fondest of memories to the point that when other jobs came and went I still looked back at the wonderful relationships I made at 3M?.?

Approximately 20 years had passed.? I read in a book that people who have had an influence of positive change in your life should be recognized for such.? Immediately I thought of Dick.

Dick was the maintenance foreman when I worked at 3M?.? I think of him often especially when doing home maintenance projects and life choices.? I did an Internet search and found his address.? I sent Dick a letter telling him about the positive influence he has had on me.? Since then we communicate with each other once per year.? He is nearly 90.? I look forward to many? more years of communication with Dick.? Just writing this brings a smile to my face!? Tell someone today thank you for being a positive influencer in my life.
