??Updates on our collaboration with Jacobs University

In July we officially announced our partnership with JUB to foster research, education and technology transfer on continuous fiber 3D printing on the university’s campus in Bremen. Now we're getting ready to establish a research environment! In September, Alexander Kochetkov, our Lead Chemist, and Artem Naumov, our Head of Materials checked the lab facilities and office rooms dedicated to the newly founded Anisoprint R&D lab.

Artem Naumov: "The quality and the level of your innovation depends on your education and work strategies, that definitely is present here in Bremen. Combining these two ingredients, the specific 'innovation culture' of many top universities in the world is partly created by small companies and larger businesses that help students and researchers to close the gap between theory and practice (commercial product)."

We'll share an in-depth update on our latest activities soon. In the meantime, check out our last press release.

? Do you know how many automated composite manufacturing technologies there are?

We counted three and decided to highlight one of them today: AFP, or Automated fiber placement.

AFP is one of the most modern and popular ways to make composites. It is flexible and can make complex shapes and angles. It grew out of the need for faster and more reliable manufacturing: complex geometries and the ability to meet the needs of the aerospace and aviation industries, as well as some others that need to make a lot of things.

?? What do we love most? Sharing our know-how, of course!

Nothing is better than having some refreshing conversations about the industry we're passionate about!?

?? One of our highlights in September: Welcome a smart group of mechanical engineering students to our shopfloor in Luxembourg. They already learned a lot about additive manufacturing and some of them are even using 3D printing at home, or at the companies, they working at.

We enjoyed putting together an exciting program for them. It included:

?? Insights into our unique Continuous Fiber Coextrusion (CFC) technology

?? Tour of our production to see how we manufacture our printers

?? Meeting our R&D people to learn more about future applications

We ALWAYS love to welcome some bright minds to our office. So if you're ever close to our home base Esch-sur-Alzette, stop by and say hi! ??
