Anisoprint Digest July 2022 Edition
Wow, time flies... ??
We are halfway through the year, and it's July already! The summer vacation season has started, but the Anisoprint team is not slowing down at all... Here we are with our 3rd issue of the Anisoprint Digest Newsletter, packed with exciting content! ??
TL;DR
Among the new and exciting things we want to share with you:
???
?? BIG IN JAPAN! We continue to grow our global footprint in Asia! ??
Japan has been a key early adopter and promoter of AM technology. After recent deals signed in China and India, we’re expanding our global footprint in Asia. Our exclusive distribution agreement with Systemcreate will enable industrials to leverage 3D printed continuous fiber-reinforced composites in the Japanese market.?
This is an important strategic decision for us that will not only allow us to provide outstanding customer support service with a dedicated team of engineers. We are super eager to start this collaboration and are looking forward to more breakthroughs in the Japanese market! ???

?? What’s a common misconception about 3D printing?
A few weeks ago, while in Paris, our CEO Fedor Antonov, has been invited to the office of 3Dnatives. And the result is a super fun interview with a lot of refreshingly different questions!
So if you ever wondered what’s a common misconception about 3D printing, what single word describes Anisoprint best, or if there is a book that Fedor read recently, that really inspired him, check out the full interview!?

?? Wow, our Lead Chemist writes for JEC Composites Magazine!
After we launched our new PETG material, we've been invited by the team of JEC Composites to share more technical insights, like the main printing parameters for continuous fiber co-extrusion. Our article has just been published in the latest issue of the JEC Composites Magazine! ??
?? For CFC technology, it is paramount to use a reliable pair of plastics with an exactly fitting formulation. Within this pair, plastics can be different in properties and nature or they can be one and the same material. Depending on the plastics chosen for printing, the properties of the final product may differ.
Materials research is a large part of our R&D: continuous carbon fiber and polymers for matrix formulations are developed, tested, and fine-tuned by our Lead Chemist Alexander Kochetkov.

?? It’s showtime!?
Alexander Kochetkov also loves sharing his experiences and know-how. In June, he was presenting at a joint conference of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Materialkunde, and the Technische Universitat Kaiserslautern on "High-performance Polymers and Tribology".
??The presentation focused on Anisoprint’s patented CFC technology, the adhesive interaction of the materials used, and its impact on the strength properties of the resulting composites. Continuous fiber co-extrusion (CFC) uses low-temperature plastics like PA,?

?? How has manufacturing evolved over time?
Mankind went from intricately-decorated, artisan-made goods, to focusing on simplified designs that can be scaled at the lowest cost and in record times. Today, additive manufacturing technologies and AI-based software are helping us leap toward the best of both worlds: unique and scalable manufacturing.
In his guest article on the Aniwaa blog, "The past, present, and future of manufacturing", Fedor Antonov, explains how design and manufacturing go hand in hand and have evolved over time.

?? And that's it! Drop us a line and let us know how you liked this newsletter. See you in August for the fourth issue of the Anisoprint Digest in August. Stay tuned! ??
