GOVERNMENT AS AN ENABLER IN THE NEW CONNECTED DIGITAL ECONOMY

Good to see that Australian government feels concerned by the future of digital economy, which is about connecting everything for better monitoring assets & infrastruture and reducing their costs of usage as well as improving citizens life.

Overall, I will discuss quite a few main points over the 3+ hours workshop:

  • How smart cities and the Internet of Things (IoT) will shape Smart Government now and in the future. Thinxtra's current project with smart councils (thinxtra.com/smartcouncil) can give you a hint on our plans in this area.
  • Developing the smart communities roadmap in light of world’s best practice. We will have a look at what has been done in Barcelona, Seoul, San Francisco and few other smaller communities.
  • Cities 4.0: the next frontier – disruptive technology, processes and business models
  • Clarifying the roles of local, state and federal government in digital service delivery
  • Citizen centricity and new collaboration models
  • The outlook for open data, interoperability and smarter analytics for better service delivery in a truly connected economy
