Angular v18 is now available!

This version continues to innovate while bringing stability to the Angular ecosystem, which has become somewhat fragmented.

In Angular 18, the new control flow syntax (@if, @for) and deferrable views (@defer) are now stable.

New signals-related APIs introduced in Angular 17.x are also present in Angular 18:

  • input() replaces @Input
  • output() replaces @Output (though it doesn't create a signal)
  • model() establishes two-way binding on custom components and properties with signals
  • Functions like viewChild() and contentChild() for signals-based querying

Angular 18 also includes other new features.
