Anger

Well, anger is not a new term for anyone. We all know ‘What is anger?’ and we always talk about this subject. But still, I would like to explain ‘Nature of anger’ and ‘Techniques of anger management’. Anger is a strong emotional state that varies with the degree of its intensity. Anger ranges from a little annoyance to a full bloom of wrath. Anger is an aggressive outburst of emotions. Anger couldn’t always be assumed to be negative, as mild anger has its own pros. Anger, in its positive meaning, could be looked at as a pipeline that lets you vent out your emotions and frustration, which humans are apt to suppress. These emotions or feelings build negativity, force you to overthink, and eventually disturb your physical and mental health.

Anger is a strong emotion, and it’s always better to control anger before it starts controlling you. Not every human reacts the same under the flames of anger. Some people know extremely well how much damage a mere moment of anger can do, and some totally fail to figure out the intensity of it. If not taken care of on time, anger has the power to destroy people’s lives. Words spoken in anger are meant to hurt other people’s feelings. Action taken in anger can even make you commit severe crimes. That’s why it is so important to learn the ‘Anger Management Techniques’.

Why do people get angry, and how is it different for everybody?

The cause of anger can be anything; for instance, a little extra salt in food, mean jokes, cheating spouses, frauds, the boss’s scolding, etc. could be trigger points for any human. Rage is a follow-up drive of obsession, jealousy, animosity, irritation, past trauma, stress, sleep deprivation, unorganized behaviour, carelessness, social complex, being physically ill, or anything else. Some people are easily prone to these feelings, which turn into rage. As every human being on this planet is different, so is their reaction to circumstances. Some people yell, shout, or even become violent when angry, while others get irritated and answer in a mean way. It’s very important to be expressive and assertive about your thoughts, but that doesn’t give you the liberty to be disrespectful towards other people and hurt their feelings. Anger is the reason for numerous mental and physical health issues, including hypertension, blood pressure, headaches, stress, and depression. That is why it becomes really important to cure it. Here are some anger management techniques you must do to slack up the power of anger over you: #Learn to remain silent when you are angry. No matter what, just don’t respond to the situation.

#Take a brisk walk. The moment you feel the situation is getting worse, just go away.

#Immediately withdraw yourself from these aggressive settings.

#Meditating will help you control your anger.

#Know your trigger points. Study yourself — what makes you angry? Once you have an answer for this, you will surely find out how to fix it.

#Counselling is another way to treat anger issues. Put your heart out; this is one of the anger management techniques.

#Ease yourself, try to stay calm, and listen to some music.

#Communicate once you are relaxed, and be open to listening to what other people have to say.

#Do not draw any conclusions. Let the matter get resolved.

#Crack up a joke. Yes, you read it right! Humor balances the atmosphere at this weak moment of anger.

#As said above, anger is a weak moment. People are not in a position to understand each other. Don’t be dogmatic about your thoughts. Don’t be negative in your thoughts; be positive.
