The Anexas Story - Chapter 48: Fruits of Labor

It was 2017, fourteen years after that flight to Paris, and eleven years after starting Anexas. I was again traveling from Bangalore to Paris, this time with my family on vacation. There was a European couple on the same row as our family. My daughter Animisha started conversing with them in French and I realized that she had picked up enough from the French language curriculum taught in her school.

When she was asked about what her father did, she told that I run a process excellence training and consulting company. She was told that even the lady was trained by an Indian in her French insurance company and now she was heading their worldwide process excellence initiative. It turned out that the lady was Kirsty, who had fallen in love with statistics in my session in 2003!!

I was so happy to meet her on that flight as she returned back from her Bangalore office after conducting a strategic meeting. Happier to see that the insurance company was still continuing the Six Sigma journey after fourteen years! Next year, Sept 2018, Flight to Basel, Switzerland. I was into the second hour of the flight when I struck into a conversation with a European sitting on the window seat on my right.

"On vacation?" he anticipated with a smile.

"No, I am a consultant, going to conduct Six Sigma training for a Swiss company, " I replied with a smile.

"Oh, I am myself a Green Belt, trained in my company. By the way, my trainer was also an Indian!" he shared cheerfully, as I looked on. Things change. They certainly had in fifteen years. A new dawn is peeking through. Let us go rush into it. The Nagpur Boy cannot walk into the sunset so early.
