Microsoft Intune supports several enrollment methods for Android devices, catering to both personal and corporate-owned scenarios. Here are the main methods:
Android Enterprise Work Profile: This method is for personal devices. It creates a separate work profile on the device, keeping personal and work data isolated1.
2. Corporate-Owned Devices:
Dedicated Devices (COSU): These are single-purpose devices, such as kiosks or shared devices, that are locked down to a specific set of apps.
Fully Managed Devices (COBO): These devices are fully managed by the organization and are intended for work use only.
Corporate-Owned Work Profile (COPE): This method combines the benefits of a work profile with full device management, suitable for devices used for both personal and work purposes.
3. Other Methods:
Android Device Administrator: An older method that is being phased out in favor of Android Enterprise.
Zero-Touch Enrollment: Allows for bulk enrollment of devices without manual setup, ideal for large-scale deployments.
QR Code and NFC: These methods simplify the enrollment process by scanning a code or using near-field communication.
Each method has its own set of prerequisites and configurations, so it’s important to choose the one that best fits your organization’s needs.
