After I almost got scammed a few years ago, I looked online for information on how to protect myself in the future and found an excellent article by Andrew chenery a Private Investigator.

?(Highly Experienced Security Professional & Investigator Leads Proactive Loss Prevention, Risk Assessment & Compliance)??

I thanked him for his comments and Andrew kept my details as a photographer. Recently a magazine asked him for an interview which was a good opportunity for him to update his headshots, so he booked a session with me.

We met in Manchester city centre. The weather was a dream and we started to take photos. Andrew brought with some accessories; his?laptop, earphones, camera and radio. It's important when you take photos for your website to show as much as you can about your job, as it will be easier for your clients to remember?you.

We found some nice cafes?to sit and to take photos; thankfully?the café?owners were very welcoming?and let us use their premises?for our pictures.

Andrew was thrilled?with his photos; now he has a bank of images that he can use for LinkedIn, blogs and fliers.

I asked him few questions and his answers were really interesting.

What made you choose this kind of job?

Previously I was in the police force, and then I moved to corporate investigations for a company. When I was made redundant, I decided to open my own company as a Private Investigation firm.

What problems do you solve?

Issues relating to criminal offenses, crime analysis, civil disputes and employee suspicion amongst others.

Can you share a success story?

Here’s a good one. An employee had been on sick leave for 18 months and his boss was getting suspicious. The latest sick note from the doctor said he was agoraphobic. We conducted surveillance and found he was working another job at a garage. We also followed him to a pub in the evening where he was at the bar ordering drinks for his friends. We used covert cameras to record it all.

What makes you happy?

I get elated when I find info that a suspicion is proven to be truthful, and we are able to prove it.

What is a success for you?

A success would be to be able to observe and be able to record an event which is admissible by court. Where we could absolutely prove the offence or offending matter.

What was the mission that you started your company?

I’ve got a company vision that suggests that we want to provide Grade A private investigations to people and businesses around the UK and Britain, leaving no stone unturned being truthful and honest as well.

That’s great. Who is your hero?

I don’t really have a hero, but I’m a big football fan, so it’s going to be Kenny Dalglish who is an honest and moral person, his humanity when dealing with the aftermath of Hillsborough shone through and is an example for us all.

If you had the chance to start your career again, would you do it differently?

Good question. If I had the chance with the same knowledge, my path would have been completely different. Basically I would have made sure to study properly in university, and the qualifications would have been finished.

Andrew kindly wrote a testimonial for me.

I recently contacted Tova and asked her for assistance in taking professional corporate photos for social media and publications. I had seen some of her work online previously and it was all impressive. Tova gladly obliged. I found Tova very pleasant to be around, she directed me well and found some very nice areas to take the photos. I am very pleased with the results and would certainly recommend Tova.

What about you? Do you want to create an Image Bank to help you with your own personal branding?
