• Andrew Silvernail appointed CEO of International Paper

International Paper (NYSE: IP) has announced that its board of directors has selected Andrew Silvernail as chief executive officer (CEO), following an extensive evaluation process. Effective May 1, 2024, Silvernail will take over the position from Mark Sutton, who had previously announced the final phase of the CEO succession process. Sofidel, a leading manufacturer of toilet paper is expanding its presence in Circleville, Ohio, marking a significant milestone in its growth trajectory. • Essity completes sale of its shares in Vinda

Essity, a hygiene and healthcare company, yesterday completed the sale of its entire 51.59% stake in the shares of Asian hygiene company Vinda International Holdings Limited (Vinda) for HK$23.50 per share. Proceeds from the sale amounted to HK$14.6 billion (approximately SEK 19 billion). Essity will continue to have a presence in Asia and Vinda through the continued licensing of its brands. Read more.
