Andrew Roberts - Welcome to Locatrix

The Advisory Board of Locatrix wishes to provide a warm welcome to Andrew Roberts

In 2000, Andrew won a Young Australian of the Year award for contributions to science and technology in Queensland. Since then, Andrew has evolved into an experienced founder, advisor and angel investor based in Silicon Valley.

He was most recently the CEO and co-founder of Tiny, a developer platform for embedding rich text editing capabilities in applications.

“I have known Locatrix CEO John Hummelstad for over a decade and have always been impressed by his business acumen and the company's success. When I had the opportunity to work with him again as an Advisory Board member for Locatrix, I jumped at the chance.”?

Andrew explains.

“Locatrix’s focus on fire safety is unique and very interesting to me. Adoption of their technology can meaningfully impact lives and even save them. It is rare in the software world to have such a tangible real-world impact and I’m excited to now be involved in assisting the team in achieving Locatrix’s global ambitions - hundreds of thousands of buildings and billions of square feet are up for grabs. ?As indoor mapping, asset tracking and wayfinding becomes more in demand, we asked Andrew what he believes Locatrix will bring to the world of technology and safety?

“Indoor mapping has vast potential across many industries. It can enhance safety, improve compliance, and provide valuable insights for education, healthcare, government and more”.

“I am personally excited about the potential to combine generative AI with Locatrix map data. You can imagine a future where wholly custom and highly compelling training materials are automatically generated from the underlying data. Keeping people safe in an emergency is only possible if the leadership on the ground knows what they are doing”.
