This quote took me back to 1998, Carlsbad, California.? It was my first Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce monthly mixer.? I stood by myself.? I did not know anyone.? No one approached me or greeted me.? I felt all alone.?

What I learned in that moment which seemed like an eternity…if ever I was in a position to greet a stranger at a networking event who I did not know I would welcome them as if they were the only person left on the face of the earth.? It has served me well!
