Scaling through SCALE in the Philippines!

Thank you Philippines!

The ANDE East and Southeast Asia Chapter, in partnership with Youth Co:Lab ?co-led by UNDP and Citi Foundation, the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and Villgro Philippines , hosted the “Scale through SCALE” workshop on June 25th 2024 from 13:30 – 17:30 hrs at ADB Innovation Hub, Manila.

This main aim of the workshop is to disseminate a set of evidence-based considerations emerged from the research of the Argidius Foundation that distinguishes the cost-effective and impactful Business Development Services (BDS) programs from the less effective ones. Welcoming almost 60 participants from the Philippines ecosystem, the workshop focused on how to increase effectiveness of Business Development Services to help entrepreneurs grow.

The event was brimming with interesting discussions and conversations. Our collaborative efforts in these events are paving the way for a sustainable business future, fostering innovation and resilience. We hope that all our participants had a wonderful and insightful experience at the event.

We are thrilled to announce that the second session of our DEI Learning Series, is set to take place soon! This session will cover the topic of “Mainstreaming Physical Accessibility”. Throughout this session, you will have the exciting opportunity to learn from our expert practitioner speaker, Ian Jones, from agile , an impact enterprise from Cambodia that uses human-centered design to create solutions and opportunities for people with disabilities.

With this session, participants will:

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of physical accessibility.
  • Be equipped with practical assessment tools to evaluate the inclusivity of their organization’s physical infrastructure and identify areas for improvement.
  • Have actionable steps and strategies to implement adjustments.
  • Learn from real-world best practices and lessons learned from organizations in the region.
  • Be able to engage in informed discussions about the disability landscape in different countries and the specific challenges faced by entrepreneurs with disabilities.

Women in the Digital Economy Fund | WiDEF

Who: The Women in the Digital Economy Fund aims to identify, directly fund, and accelerate investment in proven solutions to improve women’s livelihoods, economic security, and resilience. WiDEF is set to launch a technical assistance round later this month.?This round will prioritize large private sector enterprises that are seeking to scale proven solutions to close the gender digital divide.
