Two states of being - (See for yourself don't agree or disagree)
One state is in perfect harmony with life, with perfect actions at all times without our conscious effort. There is ultimate equilibrium in this state with no conflict whatsoever. In this state, you have no problems at all. You have tremendous peace and joy. We live in this state sometimes without being aware of it. You cant get conscious of that state since there is no mental analysis/comparative thinking structure operating in that state. There is no observer separate from that state. There is one movement of life flowing uninterrupted in its own way. There is peculiar awareness. Life is aware of its own movement without trying to know anything or without trying to do anything about its own moment. Life is aware of its own immensity and boundlessness with no goals or demands.
There is another state which is a divided state of consciousness where there is an intense feeling of separation. Consciousness feels like a separate entity in this state and we feel self-conscious. The division in consciousness arises from the identification (naming which is not real). When we give a name (Identification) to anything we create an image of that perception in our consciousness and that process creates another image which is observing the image of the thing being identified. Now this entity which has come into being as an observer of the thing feels very much real and alive and conscious and separate from everything else around it. This entity feels like the center of all perceptions.
We give a name to this entity (identity). We attach attributes to this self-conscious entity ( which is just an image) in the form of its likes, dislikes, hobbies, personalities, goals, and purposes. This self-conscious identity keeps itself intact by constantly identifying and separating itself from everything around it. This process consumes tremendous neurological energy since our brain needs the energy to keep the memory stored and keep it organized in a logical order so that next time when you need it it is readily available. Repetition helps to feel comfortable in this state. It's like a mental map of everything with the center entity.
This is the world that we have created and we make an effort to live in it forcibly. There is a constant battle to fit into this world and improve this central entity according to the surrounding things. There are continuous comparisons, analyses, and measurements by the self-conscious entity which puts it under tremendous stress and pressure. All this looks very much real.

There are movements when we come out of this divided state of being ex, In deep sleep, When we do something which gets our 100% attention at that moment the divided self-conscious structure collapses and we feel tremendous relief from the stress and pressure. Perhaps that's why people go on vacations, watch movies and sports or sleep for hours. It's a temporary relief from self-imposed misery.
This divided state of being has limited value to perform day-to-day functions to ensure survival in this world. But somehow, It has taken itself too far from just survival and got lost in the world it created.
This self-centered divided conscious entity feels shame, guilt, envy, jealousy, fear, pride, and greed, and reacts to these sensations we call emotions. These sensations are merely reactions or side effects of a divided state. Its body reactions.
The way out is to see the whole structure and become aware of its movements. Just by being aware of its movements the other state of being dawns itself and this divided state falls to its right place.
You discover a vast source of energy which is the creator of this universe. It's empty of all attributes but all attributes are created by it. It is flowing quietly, working without making any noise.
