The Anatomy of SIN: Understanding How the Human MIND Really Works!

Although I'm not a Neuroscientist, nor a Psychologist nor a Psychiatrist, as an Ordained Minister of God I feel that I have been able to acquire throughout my life enough knowledge and information regarding and concerning the mind and how it really works from God's Word: THE BIBLE that has made me to become quite an "EXPERT" and SAGE on the matter!

It's important to note at this point that we need to make a full distinction between what we call the BRAIN and the MIND for one is a very physical component: the brain which functions in a very physical way giving commands and signals to the body and its functions through neurons and various nerve cells and the ability to deal with just PHYSICAL things! While on the other hand the mind is composed wholy of spirit and it is responsible for the INTELLECT and the ability to reason and think inside our brain. This is what makes humans different and authentically very DISTINCT from ANIMALS! We have this capacity to CREATE, to DESIGN, and to develop and concot things by deep thinking and reasoning in our minds. While an animal brain basically works by "INSTINCT", because after ALL we humans are NOT animals as scientists have "erroneously" classified us. You see we were created and made after the "GOD KIND" (See Gen. 1:26-27).

The Mind: The Spirit inside the Brain

The Patriarch and ancient servant of God Job understood this basic concept of the mind as being a "spiritual" essence and component very well notice: "But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them (humans) understanding." Job 32:8. And Paul also understood this concept perfectly well: "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart (mind) of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His (HOLY) Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth ALL things, yea, the DEEP things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man (inside the brain) which is in him? Even so the things of God knoweth NO man, but the Spirit of God." 1 Corinthians 2:9-11. This is why ordinary humans out there ONLY possess just the basic and main ability to UNDERSTAND and comprehend just mainly human reasoning and thinking and are limited to just PHYSICAL understanding from the five physical senses: "seeing, hearing, touching, smelling and tasting". And this is why they are indeed very capable of creating and designing and working with MATERIAL and physical things. But they really and truly lack SPIRITUAL knowledge and understanding.

Notice how the Apostle Paul again explains this further down in Chapter 2 of the book of his FIRST epistle to the Corinthians above mentioned: "Now we (TRUE Christians) have received, not the spirit of the world (this is another prevalent and pervasive "demonic" spirit as I will explain later), but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak (and teach), not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost (SPIRIT) teacheth; comparing spiritual things (of GOD) with (other) spiritual (knowledge). But the natural man (the ordinary individual out there) receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." 1 Corinthians 2:12-14. Furthermore, he also said this in verse 16: "For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that He may instruct him? But we (again only TRUE Christians) have the mind of Christ." And this is why he wrote this in Philippians 2:5: "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus!" It's only when we get baptized into God's Church and immediately receive the imposition and laying on of hands upon us that we can receive the gift of God's HOLY SPIRT (the mind of CHRIST), notice: "For they that are after the flesh (those who are basic human beings) do mind the things of the flesh (the carnal things); but they that are after the (knowledge of) the Spirit (of God) the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is DEATH; but to be spiritually minded is LIFE and PEACE. Because the carnal mind is enmity (hostile) against God: for it is not subject to the law of God (His commandments, precepts and statutes), neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh (or carnally minded regular humans) cannot please God. But ye (you who are TRUE Christians) are not in (the influence of) the flesh, but (walking) in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man (or woman) have not the Spirit (or mind) of Christ, he (or she) is none of His (Sorry YOU ARE NOT A CHRISTIAN)! And if Christ be in you, the body is (carnally) dead because of SIN; but the Spirit is (giving you newness of) LIFE because of righteousness." Romans 8:5-10. This is why he further mentions this in verses 12-16: "Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh (the carnal mind), to live after the flesh (in sin). For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die (for the wages of SIN is DEATH Romans 6:23): but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds (and wicked actions) of the body, ye shall live (eternally). For as many as are led (and guided) by the Spirit of God (like I AM), they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage (of sin that is evident and normally influences and permeates in the world) again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of (DIVINE) adoption, whereby we cry, Abba (Greek word for FATHER, Daddy), Father. The (HOLY) Spirit itself beareth witness with our (basic Human) spirit (in our minds), that we are the children of God!" Paul further shows and illustrates the "contrast" of being "carnal" and in the flesh (following the ways of Satan and this world) and the difference once we are baptized and are imbued with the POWER of God's Holy Spirit: "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these, Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emmulations (body piercings and tattoos), wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is LOVE, JOY, PEACE, LONG-SUFFERING, GENTLENESS, GOODNESS, FAITH, MEEKNESS,TEMPERANCE: against such there is no LAW! And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit." Galatians 5:19-25. That should be our AIM and our GOAL as TRUE Christians according to Paul: "Let us therefore, as many as be perfect (in obedience to God and Christ), be thus minded: and if anything ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you (just like He reveals things to me ALL of the time). Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing." Philippians 3:15-16.

The human spirit in our minds also works as a sort of USB "Jump Drive" that has the ability to store and keep filed and recorded into our memory ALL of the many actions, experiences and thoughts we had in our life. This is the reason why old wise King Solomon wrote this: "For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have ALL one breath; so that a man hath no pre-eminence above a beast (in this sense): for all is VANITY. ALL go to one place (the grave); ALL are of the dust, and ALL turn to dust again. Who knoweth the spirit (or mind) of man that goeth upward (to God), and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?" Ecclesiastes 3:19-21. This is a very interesting question that Solomon poses and apparently he knew exactly what would happen to man's human spirit when he died but was not sure about what would happen to an animal's spirit. However he also answered this ENIGMA this way: "then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the (human) spirit shall return unto God who gave it (in order to store it)." Ecclesiastes 12:7. The Psalmist incredibly confirms and corroborates this: "His breath goes forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish." Psalm 146:4. The REAL and TRUE Definition of SIN

The Apostle John wrote in 1 John 3:4: "Whoever committeth SIN transgresseth also the law (of God and His Commandments): for sin is the transgression of the law (of God)." So basically this is the Biblical definition of sin, it is not "Shaving your legs", "singing karaoke songs", "listening to NICE and ROMANTIC secular music", "drinking alcoholic beverages like a nice cup of wine, a nice beer, etc." and ALL other ideas that "traditional" Christianity has about SIN! Here is where I will begin to disect and explore a bit more the subject of SIN and how it is very possible to defeat this tendency to DISOBEY God and His Commandments and it ALL begins in the MIND! John continues with explaining this concept of SIN according to scripture: "Whosoever abideth in Him (Christ) sinneth not (at least not intentionally): whosoever sinneth (continually) hath not seen Him, neither has known Him (this person obviously never read a word in the Bible). Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He (again Christ) is righteous. He that committeth sin (constantly and perpetually) is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil." 1 John 3:6-8.

And the apostle James clearly explains how we are are enticed and tempted into SIN notice this: "Let no man (or woman for that matter) say when he (or she) is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil (just take a look at Jesus Christ's own example in Matthew 4:1-11 and Luke 4:1-13), neither tempteth He any man (or woman): But every man (or woman) is tempted, when he (or she) is drawn away of his (or her) own lust (as regretably I have done many a time I must confess), and enticed." James 1:13-14.

Okay so here we see that the usual culprit for being "tempted" and enticed to sin is obviously LUST! And the apostle John mentions something relatively familiar to this notion and "carnal" temptation: "Love not the (customs, traditions and pratices of) the world, neither the things that are SINFUL in the world (like Pornography, Sports, Gambling, Sexual Immorality, Fornication, FREE SEX, Adultery, Prostitution, CLUBS, Rock & "POP CULTURE" concerts, bars, etc.). If any man (or woman) love the world, the love of the Father is not in him (nor her). For ALL that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the PRIDE (as in "GAY PRIDE") of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the LUST thereof: but he (or she) that doeth the will of God abideth forever." 1 John 2:15-17. Ironically John was actually addressing Christians here in this passage of Scripture. Because the FACT is that even though we may have God's Holy Spirit to direct us and guide our minds and actions (if we let it), we are still "a free moral agent" God's Spirit will never ever force us to OBEY and follow God's way. So we as TRUE Christians may "screw up" from time to time and fall into the trap of SIN! That's why John also wrote this: "If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the TRUTH is not in us. If we confess our sins (to God in honest prayer), He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from ALL (our evil transgressions and) unrighteousness." 1 John1:8-9. This is something that we as humans living in this body of flesh (even though saturated with God's Word and knowledge) must be able to understand that unless we begin and start to "build character" in our lives and press on to overcome and finally be "BORN AGAIN" into the family of God we may still fall at some point and SIN! But in order to be able to accomplish this we must obey God "willingly" as we go through the very difficult, tough and very ardous "lifetime" process of CONVERSION! This is why John also wrote this in his FIRST epistle: "Whoever is born (again) of God (in the SPIRIT) doth not commit sin (obviously) for His seed (the seed of God's Holy Spirit when he or she was begotten as a human child of God) remaineth in him: and he cannot sin (once being born again into the family of God), because he is BORN of God (then this person will be a "GOD-SPIRIT being" just like God the Father and the Son)" 1 John 3:9 I know that many of you will find it difficult to wrap this around your heads but it is nevertheless the REAL outcome and destiny of a TRUE child of God. As Peter also confirms in this scripture: "Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as His divine power hath given unto us ALL things that pertain to (and have to do with eternal) life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to GLORY and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding GREAT and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the DIVINE NATURE, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through LUST." 2 Peter 1:2-4.

Building Righteous CHARACTER!

The whole process of CONVERSION is based entirely on building RIGHTEOUS Character! Which means having enough discipline of the mind to just DO THE RIGHT THING ALL THE TIME! In other words it is when you get to a certain level in your mind that as a "FREE" moral agent you have made a permanent choice to ALWAYS OBEY God and His laws no matter what! And it takes godly and righteous DISCIPLINE to be able to do that without turning neither to the LEFT nor to the RIGHT! That's why I hate politics.

So basically is all about making a decision and a FINAL choice in your mind to allow God's Holy Spirit to mold you and shape you into God's WAY of life or to allow Satan the Devil and his Demonic co-horts to influence your mind, attitudes, and ACTIONS! And if you decide to allow God to hold you by the hand and teach you and guide you in the RIGHT WAY, guess what? You will probably suffer lots of persecution and "false accusations" against your person: "But and if ye suffer for rigtheousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts (minds): and be ready always to give an answer to every man (or woman) that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear (of God): Having a GOOD conscience; that whereas they speak evil of you, as evildoers (that they obviously are), they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing." 1 Peter 3:14-17. Peter further comments and ellaborates more on this subject and topic in the following scriptures of his FIRST epistle: "For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles (the Heathen), when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings (parties, clubs, etc.) and abominable idolatries: Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you: Who shall give account to Him (Christ) that is ready to judge the QUICK and the DEAD. For this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are (spiritually) dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. But the END of ALL things is at hand (Christ is coming this year): be ye therefore sober, and WATCH unto prayer." 1 Peter 4:3-7. Notice how Paul reminds us of this: "And you (who are Christians now), that were sometime alienated and enemies in your MIND by wicked works, yet now hath He reconciled." Colossians1:21.

"And you (TRUE Christians now) hath He (CHRIST) quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of DISOBEDIENCE: Among whom also we ALL had our conversation in times past in the LUSTS of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the MIND; and were by nature the children of wrath (provoking the WRATH of God in our lives), even as others (are doing now)." Ephesians 2:1-3.

Learning to Control the Voices in Your Head

We have heard many courtroom stories of people who have been charged with very serious criminal offenses like MURDER, RAPE, etc. and when asked by a Judge why they did these things, they would normally answer him or her thus: "Oh I don't know I just heard voices in my head telling me to DO IT!" The FACT is that if you as an individual out there are meddling with the "DARK" world of the Occult, NEW AGE, Witchcraft, Sorcery, etc. and doing wicked and EVIL things that you are not supposed to do then you will very possibly be able to get and have a "Demonic Possession" of your mind and will END with HORRIBLE and TERRIBLE consequences. That's why we shouldn't allow EVIL and Demonic spirits to "mess with our heads" by "opening doors" to them, we need to be very careful about what we are watching on NETFLIX or the Internet. Notice how Paul had to deal with this issue as well in his GREAT "carnal" dilemma: "For we know that the LAW is spiritual: but I AM carnal, sold under SIN. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I HATE, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the LAW (of God) that it is GOOD. Now then is no more I that do it, but SIN that dwelleth in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is GOOD I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the EVIL which I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but SIN that dwelleth in me. I find then a law, that, when I would do GOOD, EVIL is present with me. For I delight in the LAW of God after the inward man (my mind): But I see another law (the law of LUST and sexual desire) in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of SIN which is in my members. O wretched man that I AM! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the MIND I myself serve the LAW of God; but with the flesh the law of sin." Romans 7:14-25. Because SIN normally enters in our minds through our eyes and this is why Jesus said: "If your eye causes you to sin pluck it out" (figuretively and metaphorically speaking off course) because it ALL comes back to falling prey to the "lust of the eyes" and trust me this has happened to me a lot specially every time I see a very sexy girl "barefoot" in the pose! Like the one pictured below:

So I have learned to control my LUST for female feet and legs. So I simply try to avoid this type of "sexy" situations and this is why I must admit I haven't been to the beach in ages! James continued saying this about LUST: "Then when lust hath conceived (in your mind), it bringeth forth SIN: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death." James 1:15 It is simply very easy to justify ourselves like our FIRST mother Eve did when she had sex with the Serpent (the Devil) and took of the "forbidden" tree and disobeyed God: "And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat (probably under sexual appeal and APPETITE, stress and pressure)." Gen. 3:6. You see the Bible says that: "ALL the ways of a man are CLEAN in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits (or minds)." Proverbs 16:2.

Controlling Your Mind

We all have probably heard a lot about "Mind Control" and how the EVIL and Satanic forces out there are trying to control our minds, but there is a very nice and positive way to learn to control our minds and what we do and say! Because for example I know I'm the type of person that I just love to "Speak my mind" as they say and sometimes you just need to be careful about that because as we see written in Jeremiah 17:9-10: "The heart (MIND) is deceitful above ALL things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart (again the mind), I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings." Jesus also said: "But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart (the mind); and they defile the man (or woman). For out of the heart (MIND) proceed EVIL thoughts (like), murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies, etc." (Matthew 15:18-19).

You see a lot of men who commit "sexual sin" do so because they are thinking with "the wrong head" instead of the one on their shoulders. We must learn to always "THINK" before we "ACT"! And this will help us avoid many problems, heartaches and HEADACHES! Notice this: "The heart (mind) of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out EVIl things." Proverbs 15:28.

We must allow God to ALWAYS guide us when making a decision in ALL aspects of our lives no matter how HARD or how DIFFICULT it may seem to be: "A man's heart (mind) deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps." Proverbs 16:9. So it is also very important to follow the GOOD recommendation of Proverbs 4:23: to "Keep thy heart (MIND) with ALL diligence; for out of it are the issues of life." And I as a TRUE Christian leader must always remember also that I need to keep my MIND without FEAR and NOT allow it to be "powerless" in front of any "difficult" situations, and to always have it full of real GENUINE LOVE for others and full of WISDOM and intelligence: "For God hath not given us the spirit of FEAR; but of POWER, and of LOVE, and of a SOUND MIND!" 2 Timothy 1:7. And I also need to follow the admonition of Peter: "Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ (now in 2023); As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as He which hath called you is HOLY, so be ye HOLY in ALL manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I AM HOLY!" 1 Peter 1:13-16. As we get closer and nearer to the return of Jesus Christ now in 2023 as I have written in my NEW book: 2023 The Year That JESUS CHRIST Returns see pic below, I must strive to be HOLY!

We Must Learn to Live Wisely

The book of Proverbs is the "book of WISDOM" in the Bible and it says this: "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the HOLY (ONE) is understanding." Proverbs 9:10. Also: "Folly is JOY to him (or her) that is destitute of wisdom: but a man (or woman) of understanding walketh uprightly." Proverbs 15:21. And it also adds: "How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!" Proverbs 16:16. It also mentions and tells us that: "He that handleth a matter wisely shall find GOOD: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he." Proverbs 16:20. And in addition to this notice verse 21: "The wise in heart (mind) shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips (like in my BIG lips) increaseth learning." And now verse 23: "The heart (mind) of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips." You see: "When wisdom entereth into thine heart (mind), and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee: To deliver thee from the way of the EVIL man, from the man that speaketh froward things; Who leave the paths of uprightness (like most false ministers and preachers do), to walk in the ways of darkness (of the Jesuits and Freemasons); Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked; Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths: To deliver thee from the strange and (evil, wicked) woman (the typical femme fatale and sexy temptress), even from the stranger which flattereth with her (sweet) words; Which forsake the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God." Proverbs 2:10-17.

The apostle James asked this question: Who is a wise man (or woman) and (highly) endued with knowledge among you? Let him (or her) shew out of a GOOD conversation his (or her) works with meekness and wisdom. But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts (minds), glory not, and lie not against the Plain and Simple TRUTH (of GOD)! This (type of) wisdom (and thinking) descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and EVERY evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is FIRST pure, then (very notably) peaceable, GENTLE, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy (kindness) and GOOD fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy." James 3:13-17.

Fill your MIND with Good Meditation and Pleasant Thoughts

In conclusion, we need to keep our minds with nothing but PLEASANT thoughts and wholesome MEDITATION: "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are TRUE (like God's Word: THE BIBLE see John 17:17), whatsoever things are HONEST, whatsoever things are JUST, whatsoever things are PURE, whatsoever things are LOVELY (like Alina Ciciu's paintings for example), whatsoever things are of a GOOD report (like saving a "helpless" animal for instance); if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think (and meditate) on these things." Philippians 4:8.

Well I sincerely hope that although what I have mentioned as far as really and truly knowing how the mind works is not an "exact science" that I have "blown your mind" with this article my dear friends and readers! Finally remember this: "There are many devices in a man's heart (MIND); nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand." Proverbs 19:21.
