Anatomy of a PreOp? Video Procedure Modular Publishing
Creative Management Tools,?CMTv Production?has the distinction of producing some of Boston's most extensive multi-video series. We are on budget, on schedule, and work with the best local talent, all managed by our database-driven StoryBoards?.
Modular Publishing
In the beginning, our textbook publisher clients explained,?let's take thermometer usage; some US states perform specific procedures one way while others do differently. However, most of the?Nursing Assistant?textbook is precisely the same. So "...we switch out the chapter, and ship it out..."; that's modular publishing.
CMTv took this concept to an entirely different level, and we created video templates based on the Informed Consent1 discussion between physician and patient.
Each module is a?self-contained content block, including a succinct script to the visual elements: graphics, medical illustration, titles-bullets, and finally, music.
I chose three PreOp heart videos:
The template is the same for each video; in fact, for all Generation One PreOp Surgery Videos.?

Of course, our writers create the complete script for each procedure title, and then our screenplay is assembled within a database. (StoryBoards.com).
Yea, we sold the URL to pay for our first?PostCare? Discharge?videos... But that's another story.
The best part about modular publishing is that when a healthcare system came to us and said, "we don't think our patients are ready for the 'your surgery' scene.." We just switched it out of the database and spun up another?PreOp? Video Signature Series:
And all of our licensed videos include the healthcare facility's logo (bug) on every video frame; this protects both your and our?assets. So again, watch the video, see each module build the final video.
Our following Newsletter will introduce the?PostCare? Discharge?Series.?Every PreOp procedure directly links to PostCare Discharge tasks.
