Do you wonder whether a perfect Facebook post having maximum likes exist? The good news is it does and is not a myth anymore. Isn’t it great to know that you have a chance at increasing clicks, likes and engagements? While there is no single right way to achieve success in Facebook marketing, you can follow a few best practices that have always proved helpful. So what are these key ingredients that you shouldn’t ignore?
1. Certain posts perform better than others. These are:
- Questions
- Links
- Discounts/ Coupons
- Image
- Giveaways
- Videos
2. Link posts that use the built-in Facebook link format receive twice as much engagement than links typed in a photo post.
3. Facebook post with an intriguing headline or title tends to generate more clicks. But it shouldn’t just be clickbait; the content should be equally engaging.
4. Posting during non-peak hours can bring in great engagements. Yes, during peak hours, your post has to compete with millions of others. The competition is aggressive. According to statistics, post receives the highest engagement from 11 PM until midnight. And it performs worst from 10 AM until noon.
5. We’ve already determined a time interval that’s best for posting, but we haven’t looked at the best day. Posts on weekdays mostly perform the same. On weekends the post interactions are comparatively higher than usual. Sunday is the best day to post, with an average of 401.75 interactions, followed by Saturday at 365.30 interactions.
6. If you’re using Facebook for business, you will surely want to link back to your website. A study on 100 top Facebook post reveals that the optimal length of such post is 40 or fewer characters. There’s a strong correlation between good performance and length of the article it’s linked.
7. Hashtags are a good way to increase engagements. But when it comes to Facebook, post without hashtags received 34% more engagements. Unless there is a specific reason to use hashtags, don’t keep it off Facebook posts.
