ANATOMY OF FORECLOSURE DEFENSE

PREVENTATIVE MEDICINE

After handling hundreds of foreclosure cases over the past decade, we can unequivocally advocate that any homeowner facing mortgage problems use preventative medicine in addressing them. That is to say, being proactive is always best. Realize that federal homeowner protection laws could provide you the means to avoid foreclosure altogether. If things can be worked out early, you will not only save time and money, but be spared a lot of frustration.

DON’T GIVE UP!

If you do end up in foreclosure, there’s still plenty which can be done to save your home. You do need to act in accordance with court rules and file the proper documents. If your company suggests that don’t, do not believe it. Most important of all is to be deliberate in your approach and not give up. The same federal law that provides protection prior to foreclosure does so afterwards as well. You need to use those laws to your benefit.

CALL THEM OUT!

Oftentimes, the key to success in saving your home is a matter finding fraud by the company and calling it out on it. If you look carefully enough, chances are it’s there. It is critically important that a written notice detailing the fraud be sent, giving the opportunity to correct the problem. If the problem is not corrected, then the possibility of a lawsuit for damages exists. This is a powerful weapon in reaching the end goal of keeping your family safely in your home.
