An Anatomy of Consciousness
“We change the world, not by what we say or do, but by what we have become.” – David Hawkins
Trees are vital. As the biggest plants on the planet, they give us oxygen, store carbon, stabilize the soil and give life to the world's wildlife. Not only are trees essential for life, but as living species on earth, they give us a link between the past, present, and future.
What if we thought of ourselves in this same way?
In David Hawkins, Power vs Force, he says, “In this interconnected universe, every improvement we make in our private world improves the world at large for everyone. We all float on the collective level of consciousness of mankind so that any increment we add comes back to us. We all add to our common buoyancy by our efforts to benefit life. What we do to benefit life automatically benefits all of us because we are all included in that which is life. We are life. It’s a scientific fact that what is good for you is good for me.”
When you view your life in this way, you begin to realize some things.
When you are genuinely kind to yourself, to others, and to strangers you are simultaneously enhancing the energy of the universe. Genuine kindness is life-generating, and this type of kindness improves the world at large for all.
Acting with good intent is also life-generating. When you act with purity of heart in your intent, then your motive thus your action certainly does reveal that well-intended energy. In other words, if your intent is pure, your motive will be pure, and the result of action taken will resonate with that energy. That energy will give a higher quality of life to the people and things around you; family, friends, co-workers, and the superconsciousness all around.
When you nourish life, such as planting seeds, watering plants, and feeding wildlife, you simultaneously enhance the energy of the universe. Nourishing life improves the world at large for all.
When you learn and acquire knowledge, you not only grow your own bank of information, you improve the world at large for all.
According to Karl Pribam’s holographic model of brain-mind function, the achievement of every individual contributes to the advancement and wellbeing of the whole. Under this theory, genius leaps of awareness do not come from within a particular human, but rather they are the result of brain energy on a high frequency that attracts such thoughts from the universal consciousness. This is sometimes called “divine thought” or referred to as the Akashic records, the universal source of everything that was, is and will be (past, present, and future). There is one well-noted universal condition to this; the ego must drop the vanity of claiming ownership of thoughts.
When you are doing things that improve your life, like working, playing, reading, learning, meditating, planting, and being genuinely kind, and when you maneuver each day with pure intent, then you, just like a tree, give back good and vital life to the world around you. You, therefore, change the world simply by becoming more of you.
PostScript: It must be understood that while your high vibration energy adds to the collective good of all, the opposite is equally true. When you are draining life energy, spreading malice or worse, indifference, and acting with ill intent, you begin to deteriorate the world around you.
