Analysis of three types of PCB inks
Anyone who is familiar with PCB knows that PCB needs ink. At present, there are many types of inks on the market. PCB inks are mainly divided into three categories: line inks, solder mask inks, and character inks.
1. Line ink
As a barrier layer to prevent corrosion of the circuit, it is generally a liquid photosensitive type to protect the circuit during etching. There are two kinds of acid corrosion resistance and alkali corrosion resistance. The alkali resistance is more expensive. This layer of ink should be dissolved with alkali after the circuit is corroded.
2. Solder mask ink
After the line is done, it is painted on the line as a protection line. There are liquid photosensitive ones, thermal curing ones, and ultraviolet hardening ones. The pads are reserved on the board, which is convenient for welding components, and plays the role of insulation and anti-oxidation.
3. Character ink
It is used to mark the surface of the board, such as marking the component symbols, which is generally white.
In fact, there are other inks, such as: peelable glue ink, which protects the parts that do not need to be treated when copper plating or surface treatment is performed, and then can be torn off; silver paste ink, etc., the above are the general types of PCB inks .
