AMWA Announces New Members and Officers to its Board of Directors

The Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies (AMWA) ?announced?a new slate of board members and officers last week during its 2022 Executive Management Conference in Savannah, Ga.

Reelected to another Board term were:

• Angela Licata , Deputy Commissioner of Sustainability, NYC Department of Environmental Protection (NYC DEP) ;
• Jim Lochhead, CEO/Manager of Denver Water ;
• John Entsminger, General Manager of the Las Vegas Valley Water District ;
• Yvonne Williams Forrest , Director of City of Houston ;
• Scott Dewhirst , Water Superintendent of Tacoma Water ; and
• Shane Chapman , Assistant General Manager/CAO of Metropolitan Water District of Southern California .

New directors elected to the Board include:

• Edward Campbell, Resource Protection Director, Portland Water Bureau ;
• Andrea Cheng, Ph.D., P.E. , Commissioner, Chicago Department of Water Management ;
• Yann Le Gouellec , Director, Newport News Waterworks;
• Lindsey Rechtin , President/CEO, Northern Kentucky Water District ; and
• Todd Swingle , Executive Director, Toho Water Authority

AMWA’s Board also elected a new slate of officers:

• John Entsminger, General Manager of the Las Vegas Valley Water District, is AMWA’s new president;
• Yvonne Forrest, Director of Houston Water, was elevated to vice president;
• Jeff Szabo, Chief Executive Officer of Suffolk County Water Authority , became the treasurer; and
• Jim Lochhead, CEO/Manager of Denver Water, assumed the secretary position.
