Amsterdam Travel Guide
Netherlands or should I say Holland’s capital, best known for its canals, Tulip gardens, hustle bustle, heritage and museums continues to be a top tourist destination for year 2016 as well. Being an important financial center and business hub for not only Netherlands but whole of Europe, the city is very popular and well known. Here is the perfect guide to Amsterdam that will come in handy if you are planning a holiday to this amazing city.
When to visit
Most tourists visit Amsterdam during the summer season which lasts from June to August. Highest number of tourists visit during these months mainly because of the summer break and mild temperatures going up to only 21 degrees. Naturally hotel prices, car rents and airfares are also highest at this time.
If you wish to avoid the high costs and extra hustle bustle, visit during the off season. The months of March, April, September, October and November are ideal weather wise and cost wise as well. If only you can sneak in a holiday during these months, you would have a great time.
Those who want to visit Amsterdam when all costs are at their lowest must be ready to brace the cold as winter season in Amsterdam faces heavy snowfall and the days are very short.
