With five podcasts interviews? now recorded and available online, ?I love this resource.
As a writer, I prefer seeing words on a screen or paper.? That’s probably because? I can process written information so much faster and more efficiently than the by means of the spoken word.
As a result, until starting my current series of guest appearances on podcasts, ?I had never really given much thought to this format.? ?In my mind, the process was probably to slow for my tastes.
So … what’s happened to change my attitude?
While listening to the most recently released interview , ?I was struck by two interesting? factors.
First and foremost, a question and answer approach generates more useful information—and does it? faster—than a solitary brain searching for information and the right words for sharing the information.
For the past couple of days, I have been struggling with the wording? for a chunk of information in a new writing project.? I’m almost, but not quite, at the point that I’m happy with my output.
On the other hand after listening to my discussion with the host, the concept of building? on our personal strengths sounded so much better and authentic? than the hundreds? of words that I have otherwise devoted to the? idea.
The second factor was how energized I felt after listening to the interview.?
On reflection, I remembered the very positive energy of the host during our original conversation.? Not only did this? energy drive the conversation, the recorded version also transmitted this energy. This transmitted energy in turn triggered enough creative energy that I was able to complete another task on my to-do list.

That’s not to say that if you listen to the podcast, (as I hope you will)? you too will develop a better understanding? of building on your personal strengths.? Nor does mean that you will be sufficiently ?energized to zip through your to-do list.
From my perspective, the two interesting? factors served as a reminder to keep our minds open to new and exciting opportunities.?
In other words, my lack of interest in podcasts di d not mean that they offered nothing? of value to me.?
All my lack of interest meant was that I had not taken the time and? effort to check out what potential benefits podcasts might deliver to me.
What are you ignoring because of your belief that it offers no potential benefit to you??
