Next Generation "Why"?
Quadskis, Aquadas, Watercars, as well as other high Speed amphibians either failed or not properly answered the needs of the many enthusiasts worldwide. So yes, a few companies have tried and did build (temporarily) amphibians, however due to either lack of a proper market study & strategy or in other cases very poor designs, they were not able to continue catering the needs of so many users around the globe. I can say in confidence using my own experience that every single customer, distributor, government agency, marina owners, etc., are still waiting "today" to find the solution to their many needs. Each of the mentioned groups have made numerous requests to me personally since they have all used these prior generation amphibian vehicles with very poor overall results.
Global Demand
Still in the back of my mind, right after we have stopped production & selling of the Quadskis, I was getting very excited about when the next generation of updated Amphibians was going to become available. There have been again many companies trying to come up with a solution as the already mentioned amphibians have left a big void that now 6 years later may be properly addressed. Getting it right while covering all of the previous down faults has indeed taken a long time, but the end result in my opinion will be something that will indeed disrupt (in a very positive way) the amphibian market for the decades to come.?
Poseidon AmphibWork’s first vehicle, the electric Trident LS-1
I studied all the information provided to me from the Poseidon AmphibWorks startup team regarding design philosophy, features set and also the distributed mfg plan of the Trident LS-1 Electric Concept Hydrofoil Amphibian, and I am speechless!, (latest exterior style v6 is fantastic) as it covers the many options and uses that we were talking about during the Gibbs Quadski sales cycle.? All of those suggestions back at Gibbs from our customers, I feel are now being properly addressed and integrated into this next generation Trident LS-1 Electric Concept Amphibian.
The concept images are very cool indeed and I am sure this type of Amphibian can be sold globally with minimum restrictions plus in several different target markets (recreational, military, water taxi, coast guard, etc.).?The projected sales quantities of ~5,000 units in 4-5 are well thought of, and yes depending on how these units can be built, the demand can easily go beyond 1000 units per calendar year by Year 5, based on my experience selling to these customers around the world.?The module concept of knock-down final assembly in different regions may allow the 1,000 unit target to become a reality probably sooner than Year 5.?Products like the Trident LS-1 will have a very long life span as the same evolves and begins to cover other needs besides recreational use, such as commercial applications.?*personal extremely interested global potential customers
Future Must be An ALL Electric Model (Road Legal)
In conclusion, the Trident, again in my opinion and after reviewing the initial concept details, correctly identifies and satisfies every single design improvement that were not properly identified in the previous generation models.?

I am very impressed by what the company shared with me to date which made me decide to join their Advisory Team and I very much look forward to becoming an even more active member of this new startup’s Advisory board and perhaps join their marketing and sales team in the future.
Here are a few of the many key improvements included in this Trident LS-1 concept which will help make it a success internationally and domestically as well:
● Electric - no longer dealing with fossil fuel burning polluting ICE (internal combustion engines)
● 3-4 Seater - making units road legal in many USA states as well as Globally
● AWD - every end user has requested this but prior Gibbs and other units all were 2WD
● TAILGATE - customers have asked to either add a swim platform or a cargo area
● Options Upgrades that are Friendly for older generations were very limited
● COST - reasonable selling price to allow selling to a large audience
● ECO Friendly - still performing well in both Land & Water
