Amir Wahib The Line's King.
* Amir Wahib , is a well known international artist painter and furniture designer .
His Furniture Designs , his sculptured Chairs and
Tables in particulars are great witness of how he is a true innovative
and creative Artist.
* Have you ever see an " Horizontal Rocking Chair " , have you ever
see a " Double Face Chair " , which you can turn the Back to be the
Sit , and the Sit turn to be the Back ???
Amir Wahib did !!!!!!!
* Born in Cairo in June 15th , 1969.
Graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cairo , Interior
Architecture Department in 1993.
He have more than 20 group exhibitions and more than 15 one
man show , world - wide.
* Amir Wahib is a well-known international artist and designer written about his
art in The New York Times newspaper , concerning his remarkable
unprecedented exhibition " Clocks of New York City ".
******* And here is the Story of " Clocks in the City " ,
i did decide to
Present unprecedented Exhibition in New York City , and after Viewing
and Watching every Single Art Gallery in Manhattan , for 9 years , " i
find it " , i will paint " The Clocks " , - no one did it before - i
took the Map of Manhattan , i did Walk every single Street and Avenue
, surveying the city , every day , 8 hours walking a day , for 10
weeks , searching for Clocks and Buildings carry Clocks , taking
photos and making Sketches , and after i gathered more than 100 Clocks
, i did start to choose what i like to paint , i did paint 21
Paintings in 6 Months , all are the same Dimensions , 40 x 30 inches (
100 x 75 cm ) , Acrylic on Board.
Each Painting took from 50 to 90 hours work.
* But Why it is an important Collection of Paintings ???
Because first of all this Exhibition count on " Research " , plus ,
and most of all , it is so much difficult to " Put " the entire HUGE
BUILDING in
" The Cadre " of the Painting , try it yourself , even by your Camera
, you will find it is impossible to put the entire building in the
Cadre of the Camera , you have to get back so far to let the Building
comes in the Cadre , and in this case you will not see it " Clear " ,
because of the Cars and Trees and Peoples , plus , you will not see
The Clock , and the Beauty of the Building.
But Here , with an amazing distortion in the Perspective , you will
see the entire building , " Clear " with that very same Proportion
including the Vanishing Points in the real Perspective , but here with
ingenuity in distortion of perspective , to see the building from
every corner , up and down , including the Clock , without people ,
without Cars , and i gave different Color for the streets of each
Clock and Building matching their personalities.
It took almost one year full time work to achieve this exhibition and
it cost me $50,000 ( Fifty Thousand Dollar ).
The Clocks depicted in these pieces define these buildings and these
buildings define Manhattan and they are part of her personality - a
living museum of architecture.
Unprecedented Exhibition indeed , written about this exhibition "
Clocks in the City " , in The New York Times and other Newspapers and
Magazines World-Wide , and one painting full page front cover on Voz
Latina magazine in Manhattan and the second page the article written
in English and Spanish.
* The entire collection is available for sale.
* Being " international " mean he is known for the others outside his
" Nation " , and he have " Media " and " Clients " in other " Nations
" , that's why we said " Inter - National ".

* This is Amir Wahib " Art Statement " :
International Artist and Designer Amir Wahib thinks of " Architecture
" as the most significant " Object " in our daily life - an object
that is functional as well as sculpturally beautiful.
Architecture based on 3 main items , The Doors , The Windows and The
Chairs and other Objects features of our Architectural environment
express their own " Personality " as well as that of the people that
inhabit and use the buildings.
Amir strives to capture some of that personality in his work.
As a matter of fact , Human being , during his entire life , lives and
moves , between doors , from Door to Door , and when he died , they
open for him the
Door of his burial.
Example : if you Look at where Kings Lives , you will note that their
Doors are High and called " Gates " as well as their Windows , and
definitely their Chairs are totally Rich.
But when you look where poor people lives , you will note that their
Doors are " Low " and their Chairs are Broken.
Amir Has a series of Paintings and Exhibitions World-Wide related to
these subjects , just these items , just " Doors " , just " Windows " ,
just " Chairs " , just " Objects ".
