Grief is not a journey that one completes but rather a companion to one's existence, changing form but never fully departing. In my darkest hours, the loss of my father became a shadow that followed me, shaping my days and nights with its persistent presence. The emotional turmoil was not a phase to pass through swiftly but an intricate dance of acceptance, denial, anger, and sorrow. Through introspection, I came to understand grief as a complex, ongoing process—a teacher of sorts that showed me the depth of my resilience and the strength of my spirit. It was a lesson in learning to live with loss, not in overcoming it.
The journey was compounded by a struggle with anxiety and panic disorder, conditions that manifest not just in the mind but ripple through the body, disrupting the rhythm of life. The physical symptoms—racing heart, shortness of breath, and an ever-present sense of doom—were as debilitating as the emotional impact. Anxiety became a lens through which I viewed the world, coloring my interactions, my academic performance, and my ability to engage in everyday activities.
