AMG World Turns Five!

AMG World is celebrating its 5th Anniversary today!

As part of our celebrations, this article will give you an insight into our organisation, how we started and where we are going. Hear from our clients and team, and see some photos from our events to understand why working with AMG World is the right decision for you and your organisation.

Our History

AMG World was founded in August 2017 by Simon Wright. Just over a year later our first events were launched in the Oil and Gas and Automotive sectors. In 2019, we expanded with 5 new launches in different sectors.

During 2020, as we were planning our first pharmaceutical event, COVID-19 and the subsequent lockdown meant we couldn't operate as we originally were. While this was the downfall for many businesses, AMG World adapted by offering virtual events, conferences, and roundtables which proved to be a success and continues to be today.

In September 2021 we held our first post-pandemic in-person event. Although our UK staff were unable to attend due to travel restrictions, we still received great feedback from attendees who were thrilled to be back at a physical event. February 2022 saw our team run and attend our first large-scale event, with 200 attendees over 3 days. Then in May we ran our first hybrid event for IoT & Smart Pharma in San Diego.

There has been a lot of growth over the last 5 years, but they’ve led us to running 30 events in the next 12 months!

The Team

AMG World now has 12 team members globally. This not only includes our senior staff, but also graduates and students, helping them enter the business environment and providing the skills and experience needed for their studies and future careers.

Our Events

Over the last 5 years, we've ran a range of in-person and virtual events across the automotive, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and oil & gas industries, along with our first hybrid event: IoT & Smart Pharma Summit. They’ve proven to be a success, and as COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted, more in-person events will take place, however due to the popularity and demand for virtual sessions, they will also continue to take place.
