America's Waterway Watch: Campaign targets every city/county area of the United States through the HRI:FEMA National City/County Emergency Management Support Network.

America's coasts, rivers, bridges, tunnels, ports, ships, military bases, and maritime industries may be the terrorists' next targets. With more than 95,000 miles of shoreline, more than 290,000 square miles of water and approximately 70 million recreational boats in the United States, the U.S. Coast Guard and local first responders want your help. Participate in America's Waterway Watch and report suspicious activity or unusual events.

Just as the FEMA encourages every family to have a Family Disaster Plan and Supplies Kit, every person living on coastal and inland waterways need to add the follow hotlines to their cell phones:

To report suspicious activity: Call the America's Waterway Watch at 1-877-24WATCH (877-249-2824) or the National Response Center at 1-800-424-8802

If there is immediate danger to life or property, call 911 or the U.S. Coast Guard on Channel 16.
