AMERICA'S NEXT GREAT PARK!
Penn's Landing has always been a point of dispute for Philadelphia. There's no shortage of ideas of what it should be and how it should be used. Some may consider it as the front lawn to our great city. A place to relax, entertain and exhibit our extraordinary qualities.
There's been many conversations around what should be done with this public space. The most infamous manifestation was the tram bridge to Camden. It was supposed to be an aerial link connecting two cities with the ability to whisk 3,000 people per hour across the river in air conditioned gondolas.
Sadly, momentum faded and Philadelphia was left with its version of Stonehenge. One good thing that happened in 2020 was the start of demolishing this oddity and movement towards a new plan.
That new plan is The Park at Penn's Landing! The park and civic space will span across I-95, creating an 11.5 acre parkland, finally connecting the river to the city! This will be a truly transformational project for our great city.
When I created Oval Project Management my goal was to build an independent organization committed to providing tireless service and make positive impacts on our clients and the communities they inhabit. I'm passionate about Philadelphia, so this is a slam dunk! I'm happy that we will be a part of this project and create America's next great Riverfront park!
