• BRICS is an economic alliance formed by major global powers such as Russia and China
• BRICS also is responsible for 32% of the world's GDP, higher than the G7 countries
• The economic alliance is developing a new system to do trade with its' members that could include Saudi Arabia who recently announced that they will possibly move away from the dollar in oil trade
• Over 30+ countries have joined so far and a summit is being planned for October 2024
• Sectors likely to take a hit in America if BRICS ditches the dollar: banking, foreign exchange, tourism, and consumer goods and production.
