Growing up in the US, living and doing business here, we sometimes fail to recognize the sheer power and complexity of our own market. We take for granted the benefits and never think twice about how difficult it can be for companies from outside the US to enter this...the biggest market in the world. The US is a "country continent"....vast in size, speed, expectations, risks and rewards. We are rich with people, cultures, languages and traditions from all over the world, all rolled into one giant, busy, buzzing, sometimes messy and many times unforgiving marketplace. Within this market are many well-known regional characteristics but underneath those are subtle nuances of insight and understanding necessary for achieving full potential. Any company coming into this market...French, Israeli, Japanese...or otherwise...should take the time to learn the American business culture and how to harness its' potential. Here are some reason's it's worth the effort...
In conclusion...(and here's my run-on sentence) Companies coming from outside the United States should work to assimilate and learn American business culture...good and bad...with all of its' complexity....to improve communication and collaboration, build trust and relationships, comply with laws and regulations, create a positive corporate image, and tap into the Great American Market.
