According to an independent survey, around 91% of Americans would like to see the economy reopen by May 1 (President Trump, today April 14, 2020, announced that an earlier day is even possible, and governors should prepare for a reopening plan). In addition, most of the Americans are optimistic that the economic crisis will be behind us within a time span of less than a year. Seven percent of Americans don’t even expect an economic crisis at all after the re-opening. The general outlook beats by far the prognosis from business, political and thought leaders visiting digital.davos in Davos, Switzerland each year. Eighty percent of this group of experts estimated the crisis to last longer than one year. In another survey conducted by www.chainBLX.io, it showed that the optimism of the general public is not only founded in mere trust of stimulus packages, but more in the readiness of most Americans to adapt and rise to new challenges. More than two-thirds of the population agree that they have to change their current career path to adapt to post coronavirus economy and 29 percent of the population believe major changes within their career path are necessary.
It is a great relief that most people living in the US believe that the economic crisis will last less than a year, as consumer confidence is one of the critical remedies against an economic crisis. It is even a better sign for companies and the economy that most people are ready to change to adapt to a post coronavirus era, thus the belief from the general public is not based upon a dream but on the willingness to rise to the challenge now, as Americans always did in history. Americans are ready to go and fight back with hard work and self-improvement as soon as possible, most of them expecting to encounter a world that totally changed from the past.
It is now time for the business owner and executives to plan for the reopening because their company’s survival, and the economic well being of their employees, depends on it.
Businesses have to work on creating a post coronavirus lockdown strategy, which incorporates not only to overcome the threats currently seen by most executives, but also the opportunities offered by a broad willingness to adjust to new challenges of the American people as seen in www.chainBLX.io research. It is now where not only America, but also the world, forms the economy for the new millennium. It is now where every company decides about its role in the economy of the future or perishes. Thus, everyone has to ask themself, “Do I have a plan for the upcoming time which includes both opportunities and threats, and am I ready to reinvent myself and my company to rise to the challenge?”
