Those Who Serve Bank On Us
Honolulu, HI – In an effort to improve financial service accessibility and better support our nation’s heroes, American Savings Bank (ASB) has partnered with The Armed Forces Financial Network (AFFN) to allow AFFN cardholders to access funds at ASB ATMs across the five islands ASB serves – Oahu, Maui, Hawaii Island, Molokai and Kauai, beginning today, 19 December 2023.
“AFFN is honored to welcome American Savings Bank to AFFN and the Association of Military Banks of America (AMBA) Ohana in service of our Military & Veteran Community,” said John Broda, AFFN President & CEO. “We look forward to working with American Savings Bank’s leadership team to serve those who serve or have served our great nation."
AFFN, an electronic transfer network, facilitates access to funds for the U.S. military, veterans and civilian communities through ATMs and point-of-sale terminals at or near U.S. military bases worldwide. This partnership allows AFFN cardholders to access nearly 90 of ASB’s ATMs and support those who live, work, visit, vacation, relocate or retire in Hawaii.
“American Savings Bank is committed to serving our customers and community, including those who selflessly serve our country,” said Dani Aiu, executive vice president of consumer banking at ASB. “We are glad to accept AFFN cards at our ATMs and make banking easier for our military and veteran communities.” This new partnership, along with being recognized by Forbes as a Best Employer for Veterans for three consecutive years, is a testament to ASB’s continued support of the armed forces.
