Back in April, I was fortunate enough to attend the inaugural American Physiology Summit with the Scientist.com Marketing Services team in sunny Long Beach, California. While we were there, I sat down with a number of individuals to discuss innovations in technology and instrumentation that are enabling groundbreaking strides in physiological research. Take a look, read, and listen to learn more about these companies and individuals below.
SPARC Data and Resource Center
I said it a couple weeks ago when this interview was initially posted, but speaking with Sue Tappan from the SPARC.science Data and Resource Center was one of the highlights of my time at the Summit. Her insights into the future and importance of #openscience and #opendata were truly thought provoking. You can read the interview here.
Aurora Scientific
During the 4-day Summit, I spoke with both Matt and Chris from Aurora Scientific , which is always a such a treat and usually full of with hockey banter. But this time, it was all business! Matt and I discussed his new role as GM, and Chris gave an overview of the 801C Small Intact Muscle Apparatus. You can read about Matt's journey from R&D (such a surprise to me!) all the way up to GM here. And watch below as Chris gives an 'under the hood' overview of the 801C.
Unified Information Devices
During this interview, I spoke with José Gadea about emerging trends in home cage monitoring. He talked about the company's approach to innovation and highlighted their RFID-enabled, Mouse Matrix system. You can read the full interview here.
