American Government: A Weaponized Process

Are elected officials above the law? One claim has been President Trump has put himself above the law. One claim is he had inappropriate communication and dealings with foreign governments. One claim is in regards to the abuse of power. If a President can be impeached, once out of office, for these events it is only just, to hold all political leaders to the same standards of conduct or else its all just media drama, theatrics, political grandstanding, and a smoke screen to achieve a hidden agenda.
Will you, our representatives of the public, place accountability where it belongs and ensure all public officials involved from the beginning of this fiasco till the present players, are ALL brought before the Senate and the American people, in an open, public forum, to answer for all their involvement. The investigation into the Trump presidency extends to campaign times when unspeakable acts of corruption were perpetrated on American citizens by high ranking members of the previous administration. This same administration engaged in actions that were made public by the Trump administration and are directly connected with some of the charges being levied against the President. We are living in dangerous times where politicians and political parties are committing acts of serious overextension of their powers. Tolerating corruption and small acts of over aggressive political maneuvers has given our current administration, to include both major parties, the audacity and perceived approval to act in their own best interests at the cost of our God given and constitutionally protected civil rights as citizens and human beings who are entitled to and guaranteed sovereignty over our minds, bodies, and lives.
The system is flawed. By design and processes it caters to and encourages bias, inaccuracy, deceit, and corruption. If the President can be tried for the named actions, ALL those involved in similar actions and actual High Crimes and Misdemeanors MUST be compelled by the Senate to testify and be subject to cross-examination. Equal rules for all involved but the object can not be to protect a fellow politician. The object here MUST be to protect the American people from the equivalent of a hostile take over or coup perpetrated by nothing more than independently wealthy, corrupt, self-serving thugs that are no different from criminal king pins, shot callers in street gangs, and leaders of drug cartels.
Joe and Hunter Biden must be questioned and cross-examined. Hillary Clinton, her staff, Bill Clinton, Lynch, Former President Obama, Comey, Mueller, Rosenstein, Steele, Mr. & Mrs. Ohr, The Ukrainian President Zelenskyy (only to determine if he felt a pre-pro quo situation existed). If he did not, then that charge is null and void. It doesn't matter if anyone else says they felt one way or another. These accusations absolutely require an actual victim. The person labeled the victim has to have been victimized. A third party can not claim the victim status of another especially if an alleged victim refutes the claim they were subjected to the offense. President Zelensky and his perception of the President's statements to him is THE sole deciding factor in the matter of if the alleged pre-pro-quo existed. For political adversaries and persons who would otherwise be considered traitors to claim otherwise is simply foolishness.

Finally, every member of the committee that voted on the articles should be called and questioned and cross-examined to determine what actual information they have and what their motives are to vote the way they did. This is especially important because many Congressman were prohibited or limited in what they could say and seek out to make the most educated decision to vote. Representatives Pelosi, Schiff, and Nadler should be prohibited from serving as presenters or prosecutors and should be required to testify and undergo including cross-examination. They obviously believe and continually state they have damning evidence. Let's see it! All of us want to see it. Make the evidence to support your claim public not hidden by closed doors where we are forced to take your word for it. Put it all out for all to see.
I am not a congressional law and procedure expert but I am an American citizen and I want answers. I want a fair review of the facts where no one is making up rules as they go to protect fellow politicians. My concern here is the Senate will not require or allow fellow sitting members of the legislature or previously elected and appointed officials to be called as witnesses. This is UNACCEPTABLE and BREEDS CORRUPTION. President Trump, a sitting President is being dragged through this because he is allegedly acting as if he is above the law. If the President is not above the law neither are Congressman, former officials, Federal Law Enforcement Officers, Human intelligence Assets, or FISA Judges for that matter. President Trump is also accused of inciting violence. Certain members of congress have stated messages plainly to the public inciting drastic increases to already existing violence if courts did't reach the publics desired verdicts. These are blatant acts to subvert the independence of the judicial system and to magnify violence and fear among the American People. The congresswoman who made such statements was never disciplined by Congress and certainly was not treated with actions equal to impeachment. To be honest this has happened several times and has become accepted behavior for certain privileged politicians who are given greater leniency to appease certain special interest groups.
I am an American. I am a regular working, family raising, law-abiding American. I live in a Country designed to be a represented democracy. We have majorities and minorities, lefts and rights, Republicans and Democrats. We have names for all those polar opposite points of view but they're just names. Maybe a State has more liberals than conservatives. That state's elections will all be won by liberal representatives. That does not mean a significant number of conservatives aren't in those states. Those conservatives deserve to be heard and protected too. This is why those elected to represent should certainly speak for their constituents but also keep in mind you have unrecognized political minorities in this country who are being silenced by the lines drawn for voting districts. This causes extremism when certain segments of the population feel under represented, ignored, and subjugated by the opposing political philosophy. Our leaders must find balance. We need moderation in politics. We need leaders who can represent ALL their constituents not just one polarized section. When you represent your people, represent those silenced political minorities as well. You represent us all. The ballot box just decides who gets the honor to carry the needs of thousands to a place where everyone's fate is decided by the votes of a few. My questions to all the Senators is this: Are Senators, Congressional Representatives, elected public servants, appointed public servants, and the President of the United States subject to the same legal standards and laws as any other American citizens? If the answer is, "yes", you have to vote "No" for impeachment. If the answer is "yes", do you have the courage to make sure all those involved, regardless of their past or present status, are required to come before the Senate and the American people and answer questions and face cross-examination to be fair to both sides? Do you have the moral character to fight the urge to protect corrupt lawmakers knowing they will no longer protect you? If you do not hold these people accountable then you are abusing power and deserve to be removed from office as well. The House of Representatives has put the Senate in an interesting position but that position sets the Senate up perfectly to come together and do the right, honest, just, and ethical action and restore the people's faith in our government.
