AN AMERICAN CONSPIRACY -- MYTH OR TRUTH? YOU JUDGE

AN AMERICAN CONSPIRACY -- MYTH OR TRUTH? YOU JUDGE

It was a dark, stormy night in hell. The fires glowed along with the smell of sulphur and burning flesh. Satan felt restless. He felt the world had forgotten about him. As he watched his minions wallow in their eternal misery, he couldn't help but feel a bit bored. He had already tormented his fair share of souls and was itching for a new challenge. He needed a disrupter.

?

Then, like a bolt of lightning, an idea struck him. What if he sent one of his most cunning and devious demons to Earth to wreak havoc on humanity? It was the perfect plan - after all, who doesn't love a good apocalypse?

?

He looked around and saw Stalin, Hitler and Genghis Khan, but they all had tried, but none succeeded. Failures surrounded him. Then, finally, he knew, he remembered the person he had groomed to be the prize of them all.

?

So, Satan summoned his finest womanizing, lying, and cheating demon and dispatched him to Earth. This demon was the devil's finest work of art - easy on the eyes and with a tongue that could charm the pants off anyone, particularly the gullible and those trying to be extra religious. His choice was a con man of the finest cloth. He could sell a lie as if it was the truth.

?

With his dashing good looks, carefully crafted image,? his father's money and a new orange wig, the demon managed to con his way into positions of power and gather a massive following. He even convinced a lonely old man with a media empire and nothing to do to use his wealth to support the devil's efforts with lies and stories of conspiracies. People were convinced this demon was the saviour they had been waiting for, sent by a higher power to save them from themselves.

?

But, the demon's true intentions were far from saving anyone. He had come to disrupt the world and cause chaos, all while indulging in his pleasures and desires.

?

People ignored his greed and forgot one of the most well-known statements attributed to Jesus in the Bible on the subject of greed: "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money." (Matthew 6:24, NIV)

They should have remembered that Jesus taught about the dangers of accumulating wealth and placing too much value on material possessions. He famously told a rich man, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." (Matthew 19:21, NIV) Like a false idol, they were mesmerized by the demon's speeches. They cheered his speeches, shared his anger with those who would doubt him and laughed as he mocked the unfortunate.

They forgot that the people had made him a false prophet. He is like the money changers in the Temple.

?

He was the villain who played the victim, with a face as innocent as a newborn's. He manipulated and lied, weaving a web of deception until the good people were confused.

?

The more he was challenged, the stronger he grew. A magnate of power, he basked in the glory of his follower's attention. He revelled in the chaos of his creation.

?

Whenever goodness prevailed, this demon plotted his revenge with sinister glee. He promised a retaliation so vengeful the doubters would see. He promised to leave his doubters regretting what they'd ever dared to do. There would be nowhere to hide from his demands or destruction. He would create a throne for his families to own, and forever and ever, he would command the world.

?

Like an actual anti-Christ, he reversed people's thinking. The good became terrible, and Evil became good.

?

Despite the obvious signs that something was amiss, the demon's followers remained blissfully unaware of his schemes. The more they praised him, the more power he gained, and his evil plans came to fruition.

?

In the end, even Satan himself could only look on in awe at how easily humans could be fooled. The supposed intelligence of humanity had been reduced to a punchline, a satirical mockery of itself.

?

And so, the world continued to spin as the demon, and those like him held power and deceived humanity. At least we got a good laugh out of it, right? Or maybe we're all just crying - it's hard to tell sometimes.

?

May God save America!
