American Airlines Expands Its Regional Fleet with Four New Embraer E175 Orders Designated For Envoy Air

American Airlines , has recently made significant strides in expanding its regional fleet. The company has placed an order for four additional Embraer E175 aircraft, valued at an ~$230.6 million (list price). These four aircraft are set to join the ranks of Envoy Air , American Airlines' regional subsidiary, further enhancing the airline's capabilities.

Envoy Air, as the recipient of these new E175s, is scheduled to take delivery of these aircraft in 4Q'24. This addition will bring Envoy Air's E-jet fleet to over 150 by the end of next year, a remarkable testament to the ongoing expansion and development of American Airlines' regional operations.

Holmes further noted that the E175 has evolved into the backbone of the United States' regional network, with Embraer having delivered over 620 E175s, capturing an impressive 85% of the market since 2013.

Envoy Air, currently operates 133 Embraer E-jets. These consist of 26 E170s and 107 E175s, highlighting the versatile nature of the E-jet family. The majority of these aircraft, totaling 212, are E175s, while the rest are E170s, operated by either Envoy Air or Republic Airways.
