Grant’s genius was to use the Mississippi to outflank the Confederacy at Vicksburg;

and Mobile Bay;

to conduct a combined arms strategy.

Trump, no great strategist, tried to outflank Democracy with the Internet, at the Potomac. Hybrid War had worked for Putin in Crimea and Donbas. Why not use the Internet, social media, our own mediocrity, cyber-propaganda, our own faith, history, ignorance, intimidation, little green men where possible, idolatry and false patriotism;

in concert with those who try incessantly to divide us;

My Comment

This reminds me of the Holodomor, the starving time imposed on Ukraine by Russia;

and of our own Trail of Tears; of our own Great Depression;

The insurrection by Trump, Putin and Gerasimov, the hybrid war, got close to succeeding on January 6th.?
