America Needs Stronger Leadership
Much of my commentary in recent weeks has used the theme that we are a strong nation in a weak period.
In fact, America is a great nation -- but we need stronger leadership to make headway on growth, leadership abroad, and the exploding national debt.
As I wrote in The Wall Street Journal last week, inflation is the defining economic problem of this year's Presidential election.
President Trump has made clear that he understands well that production and growth are what drive the American economy.
Last Thursday's debate demonstrated a clear contrast in leadership ability, and the policies championed by each candidate demonstrate a clear contrast -- encouragement for market-based production versus bigger government propping up consumption but discouraging work, innovation, and production.
The current Administration's big-government policies are directly causing price increases and putting the electricity grid at risk. Peace through strength requires new leadership and determined efforts to replace Washington's policy failures.
