America in Flux

Donald Trump's election victory calls to mind the difference between Exercises and Concerto, Trump at the keyboards rehearsing for the big performance. While the managers argued that he would not perform he proves himself so dextrous on the keys that, following agreement on a new Modus Vivendi, a Concerto performance has been booked for January 20th, 2025, possibly Schumann's Fantasy Pieces for Piano and Violoncello op. 73 with J.D. Vance on cello.

Tickets have already been sold online today and the concert is a sell-out. Trump has been rehearsing with quite some tenacity since last summer where management agreed that Kamala Harris might appear in a solo performance on the same date.

Following words of encouragement from those who have heard him before Trump vows to give the best performance of his life and maintains that there is no more need for Exercises, that he is primed for the concert performance and that Fantasy Pieces op. 73 and op. 111 are the mainstay of Monday's January 20th recital. A complete program will be published by the morning of January 20th for all concert-goers. The concert will be nationally and internationally televised so that those unable to attend it in Washington, D.C. can still watch it on television. Because of the virtuoso nature of the performance it is expected that upwards of one hundred million viewers will tune in; the management is delighted at this opportunity to earn advertising revenues.

Kamala Harris, though tentatively booked, has cancelled and will not attend after being replaced by Trump and Vance. Management is delighted with this turn of events and preparations on the Mall are already being undertaken.

This is a unique moment in American history, likely in the world. Trump, like Zubin Mehta, shows his cards and proves that an aging virtuoso is no reason to cancel; rather all the more reason to perform. The audience has never been bigger or more important.

Mr. Trump, like the late Silvio Berlusconi who after being found guilty of certain crimes was sentenced to community service, has also confirmed that it will be a benefit concert for all Americans without ensuing artist's fees.

Tickets are sold out! Trump and America no longer in flux, all expectations pointing to a sensational opening presidential season debut.
