Yesterday I got the opportunity to see history. As I walked towards the Lincoln memorial to stand on the very steps Dr. Martin Luther King delivered his famous "I had a dream" speech I noticed something. Almost every step I took, I heard a different dialect.


Tourist of every race, religion, and belief were making the same trek i embarked upon. The same one almost 250,000 people did on August 28, 1963. At that moment I experienced what truly makes America great.


We live in a country built by immigrants, enhanced by dreamers, and made better by those who stood their ground and spoke out against oppression, inequality, and social injustice. That my friends is what makes America great. United we stand Divided we fall.
