America in the Age of Shame and Disgrace

Trump has declared the U.S. government impotent by nullifying any decisions and convictions of the courts in his pardon of Joe Arpaio. He has given new freedom from conviction to anyone who refuses to cooperate with the Mueller investigation. For the first time, a United States President has elevated himself beyond the disgusting, malicious, and dangerous man he is to an invulnerable fascist with absolute authority, and no one of integrity in his cabinet or administration is standing up to him or resigning voluntarily. Except for the very few Republicans with a true respect for the Constitution, there is a void of courage and self-respect, a deplorable unwillingness to stand up for all American people, equality, and democracy. We are now living in the age of shame and disgrace, and Trump is embedding it in the American soul.
