Let's get started!
Article: Inside Big Tech's "Fake Work" Problem
What makes you feel meaningful at work?
Is it impacting revenue? Working on important projects? Helping others' grow and learn?
For managers at big tech firms, their answer might have boiled down to one thing: having a team.
A recent article by Business Insider reveals that the pandemic's hiring boom might have been driven by an underlying, fundamental issue: managers being measured by their team size, not their contribution. This reward system is flawed for obvious reasons, and as time went on, org charts became bloated, projects were treated like show ponies and top talent sat around doing nothing.
The response was mass layoffs in the name of efficiency, but the reality is that undoing years of "fake work" culture will require much more than that.
Article: Employer Branding vs. Recruitment Marketing
"Employer branding is your company's consistent outward message about what makes you unique as an employer, while recruitment marketing is about using that message to promote job opportunities to potential candidates."
You've likely read articles like?"how employer branding makes your recruitment more effective"?and?"implement these 5 recruitment marketing strategies to recruit top talent,"?but our latest article explains their differences and how to use them to your advantage.
