Ambulance

Ambulance

The ambulance driver is a hero. And if needed, we can lend them a hand.

The last time we had a Presidential transition away from my homeland state’s leading party, the incoming president was under investigation. Russia was a major talking point, and there were reports that Illinois had been hacked by Russia as well. 2017.

Missing from every single news story or report was the fact that Illinois mockery had allowed self-spread everywhere. There were no reports on the historical and continuing issue of the government surveillance abuse, no reports on lookalike hires, no reports on how the United States government took the reins from wealthy Northwestern and Illinois peers. The public was not told anything of what had transpired, nor have they been fully informed to this day. 2013-present day.

Immaturity also prevented their formal, complete disclosure with this reform-minded, cure-seeking writer. Instead, the District of Columbia spent their time navigating the beginning stages of their grief: denial that their choice to join in a mock had now turned as a mockery of themselves. Anger and bargaining tiptoed closely behind.?Bargaining that perhaps we don't need non-violent revolutionary reform, or that the same stagnant Capitol could accomplish it without revolution.

Knowing that this immaturity would undoubtedly further harm, I protected my mind as best possible. One of the more critical ways I did that is by focusing on the right ambulance driver.?

It would cause just about anybody anxiety to think about a commander-in-chief joker responsible for a burned attorney. In a real-life world where the government constantly placed lookalikes in one’s life, assuming control of Northwestern’s strategic helm, anyone would feel trepidation at the joker ride.

I protected my mind by focusing on Harrison Ford’s Fugitive drive.?

This time, the Presidential transition will not require mindful protection. I have told the public the truth for all our safety, and I have written about the importance of lending a hand to those at risk of permanent harm.

Our world can follow this lead, mimicking it really well.

Public truth is important. I cannot control the media, corporate influence and political corruption that delays disclosure. I can encourage it to be disclosed without any further delay, without any national security discussions, and without privacy violations. Our world should resolve to no longer delay this. This story will be public. Also, facts cannot be bent conveniently toward coincidence where a higher power may have had a hand. The public deserves to decide for themselves what is serendipitous, what was intentional, and what feels like intelligent design by a higher power.?

Lending a hand to those at risk of permanent harm is important. And here, we cannot accept a two-faced justice system. Instead, our world should demand comprehensive criminal justice system reform.?

Productive planning for comprehensive criminal justice reform also helps the District of Columbia take the Edge off of grief for the old Capitol ways.

I don’t see a roadmap for criminal justice overhaul. I see several professional organizations that have devoted decades toward reform. I see consistent language used for sentencing reform, drug and mental health courts reform, reentry reform, voting rights, racial justice, policing reform, wrongful convictions and pre-trial reform. With consistency to language, consistency to federal, state and local reform interventions are achievable. With consistency to interventions, consistency to policy and programming are feasible. Additionally, consistency to language spotlights what appears to be unincluded, missing or someone else’s problem: lawyer education and training, judicial reform, disclosure reform, investigation reform, and military justice reform.

On a side note, lack of failure reform means that everyone involved in criminal justice only shows their good side, and we don't really know who's two-faced. Therefore, it's best to overhaul the entire system.

The above can all be addressed with the incredibly attentive organizations already formed: Brennan Center, Vera Institute, Council on Criminal Justice, Justice Roundtable, Center for American Progress, DC Justice Lab, Center on Juvenile and Criminal Justice, Department of Justice’s National Institute of Justice, MacArthur Foundation, ACLU, and many others.

States and local communities can be better guided with cohesiveness to a national roadmap. Even emergency services are supported with proper criminal justice reform. EMS is also supported when we help limit daily exposures to violence, overdoses, and other potentially toxic workplace situations. Criminal justice reform is the right call and we can look into it.

My 2015 prison health reform paper remains unpublished. Sadly, it is doubtful that much has changed since then. I can contribute by revisiting this manuscript if time allows. I am always able to contribute with advocacy to prison health and quality emergency medical service. I am able to contribute with personal experience to harm from misjustice at the hands of the criminal justice system. And I am able to contribute with attention to opioid abuse.?

I am not as qualified to speak on non-health related criminal justice reforms, however, so here are some links to qualified professionals. Navigating these sites also underscores the need for a national roadmap.

If we are lending hands to keep people from toxic environments, if we are lending a hand toward well-being, and if we’re lending hands to keep people from turning toward violence (or turning against their morals), we should lend a hand toward total reform of the criminal justice system. Should the Capitol’s leaders continue to strut around and ignore the need for an actual plan, as they have for decades, force the handed assistance. The District of Columbia can process any remaining grief by accepting that criminal justice reform is going to happen.

In this Mockingjay story, the court and justice system failed.?

In this Mockingjay story, our national-international dance toward progress has not failed. The messaging has not failed. The volunteers have not failed. The next phases of unity and revolution do not need to fail.

When the courts and justice system let stagnation live long enough to become a villain, it’s time for total and absolute reform. Face the facts, and face a criminal justice overhaul.

Happy mocking, preferably alongside a much happier wrap.

P.S. If ambulance drivers need help with actual roadmapping, I’ve heard of a guy.
